Newness of Life

“Wherefore we are buried with him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father even so we also should walk in the newness of life.” Romans 6:4

 “the newness of life”

Just like the verse says , we were buried with Jesus, so we died with him in the first place. Right

When we died with Jesus, we died with our old man, we died with our old self, we died with our problems, our weaknesses, our diseases, our pains, our shame,  our addictions, our body of sin was done away with.

The flesh which caused us to go astray was overcome at the death of Jesus in which we died with Him.

Some believers say Jesus died for me and rose again in glory, but they fail to recognize that we actually died with him. Our old self did.

Yes it is true, the bible says so, and if our old man died with him, the new man has come to stay.

The new man recreated and born of God.

”that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father even so we also should walk in the newness of life”

As Christ was raised  from the dead, we were raised with him in the newness of life.

What is this newness of life.

I sure believe it is life of victory, a life as a son of God, a life which has nothing to do with darkness, a life being made perfect by God, a new life in Christ, a struggle free life, a life where we look at situations from the standpoint of victory. A life which all we do is in the ability of God.

A life where old things have passed away and all things have become new.

A life where it is no longer us that live, but Christ lives in us.

A life of purpose, a life of accomplishment, a life full of God’s love, a life of God’s will

Now that’s the newness of life.

That’s the exact life God has called us to live.

Are you living that life?

Jesus calls.

God bless you
