You are in charge
Verse 1
and you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power.(nkjv)
Beautiful NIV puts it this way .
You have received the fullness of Christ, who is the head of principality and power. So since we have received Christ and he is the head of principalities and power, we also are heads to principality and power.
Do you understand ? Okay let me make it clearer. For in Christ dwells the fullness of the God head and we have received Christ who is the head of principality and power and the bible says in romans 8:17 that we joint heirs with Christ. We are one with Christ . So if Christ is the head of principality and power, then we also are heads of principality and power.
Christ is the head, we are the body. He is the vine we are the branches. As He is, so are we in this world
Matt 28:18 ”then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me
Verse 19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit(niv) Here Jesus empowered the disciples with the same authority He has received to go into the world and do things.
Colossians 2:15
Having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.(Niv)
Having disarmed it says here, Jesus disarmed the forces of darkness, he disarmed satan and has armed us.
We are no longer under the forces of darkness but they are under us now.
We are now the ones dominating not them anymore. So you see, since Jesus has done it begin to walk in it. For He defeated them, and now we part-take in that victory and every other thing that comes after it. And romans 8;37 says paraphrased Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us and gave himself for us.
We now are masters over the kingdom of darkness, we dictate what happens.
Jesus did not disarm them for himself, but for us.
We are now in charge. Walk in this consciousness that satan has been defeated, Satan is now under you. Satan has been disarmed. You are now the one who is armed, now begin to deal with him, anywhere you see him you go and unseat him.
Because you are in charge
walk in the fullness of Christ.
You are now in charge.
