A Walk with God

A walk with God

First of all, I will like to throw more light on “walk”.
Here walk doesn’t literally mean taking steps after step.
Here it means in cooperation, in conjunction, in connection.
The
prominent men in the bible were in constant work walk with God.
Abraham did, Enoch did, Jacob had a massive walk with God, Elijah did and Jesus did as well.

Now to walk with God is to seek him at all times, to seek his face at every point in time.

We fail to recognize that yes we are the sons of God but remember that sons need the guidance from the father, here it is not like the earthly fathers we have that at certain point we fend for ourselves.
It is not so with God, he is our father who will never grow old, and whom we will never allow us to fend for ourselves.

See until we walk with God we cannot come up to fulfillment of Gods plan in our life.

If we look at the above mentioned names like Enoch and Elijah, they were in constant connection with God, they did everything with God.
Let me tell you something,

We (Christians) are so into what we do for God and forget to do it with him.
Moses led the Israelites with the presence of God but that didn’t stop Him from seeking him.

God was a pillar of fire for them at night and a cloud in the day.
And he is still that even today.
Elijah had the power of God in him, but at each point in time he prayed and sought God.

2chronicles 26:5

“and he sought God in the days of zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper”

Here the bible is talking about uzziah,

As long as he sought God, God made him to prosper.
As long as he walked with God, he prospered.
Uzziah was sixteen years old when he began to reign, he could have chosen to rule with his instincts but he didn’t.

He could have chosen to be rascally, but he wasn’t.

Instead he chose a walk with God, but something terrible happened to him.
He grew in pride and transgressed against God and was cut off from God.
You see people of God when you walk with God, do not let what God gives you take a better part of you.

What am I saying?

Do not get so into the blessings of the almighty that you forget all about him and go after all he has given you.

Remain Humble

You all know the story of king saul.

God anointed saul. He had a walk with God as well but he let pride and impatience destroy it.

Why did I go into this people?

Just to remind you that you need a walk with God. A genuine one.
This is not the walk you start and let pride or impatience or any other thing destroy it.
Remember he is a jealous God. If you are for him then you are for him alone.

God’s grace
