Not by your strength

“…for by strength shall no man prevail” – 1 Samuel 2:9b.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whenever you take your battle into your hands, you take it out of the hands of God.

The word ‘prevail’ means, to be superior in strength, dominance, influence or frequency; that is, to have or gain the advantage over others or something.  It is also to prove to be effective or successful in doing something.

Now, what does it mean to prevail with God?

Prevailing with God means succeeding with God; and to succeed with God, you must refuse to rely on your strength. You must allow God to fight for you. Whenever you take your battle into your hands, you take it out of the hands of God.

For it is not by power nor by might, but by my spirit says the Lord.

To succeed with God you must allow God to have your heart. How do you do that?
By accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour .
You must allow Jesus to be your all. It is He who suffered for you.It is He who died for you. It is He who defeated Satan for you. It is He who paid the price of your redemption and It He is who is willing to take up any matter that concerns you . Do not let bitterness and the pleasures of life get a grip of your heart. Let Jesus be the author and the finisher of your life.

You must let go of your ability and focus on Jesus.
You must let go of the pain of disappointment and focus on Jesus, for it is He who restores the days you think you have lost.
Forget the bitterness in your heart and look to Jesus, who Heals, saves, restores and delivers.
Forget about material things which will perish . focus on the things on high.

Focus on Jesus.
There is a restoration coming to you .
Jesus has made it possible

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God" 2corinthians 3:5

God bless you.
